A diploma in Computer application course is specially designed for students who have appeared their SEE and +2 exams and want to develop a good understanding in multiple areas of Computer. This 6 months course is designed in such a way that it gives knowledge about computer right from the basics like working with MS. Office and takes you towards web development. This course will help students to understand multiple technologies and later on they can decide which area to choose to develop a career path.

- Fundamental Concepts & Introduction to hardware peripherals (how to remove or connect them)
- Manage proper folder structure to store files in order & Searching files
- Setting user privilege based on the user type
- Installing and Uninstalling applications
- Configuring devices and installing device drivers
- Virus and security threats, using antivirus to avoid virus threats
- Manage backups of files to avoid loss of data
- Accessing and sharing files in a network & Printing documents using a network printer
- Setting printing preferences before printing & Open printer cartridge to remove paper jams
- Computer ergonomics, health precautions caused by computer, and computer security issues
- Google Apps & PDF generation (convert Word, Excel, PowerPoint to PDF, combine multiple PDFs)
- Compressing and uncompressing documents using WinZip or WinRAR
- Writing files to CD or DVD using software like NERO
- Using multimedia projector to deliver effective presentations
Capstone deliverable
Complete system configuration, peripheral setup, folder management, and backup drill.

- SEE appeared students: provides sufficient knowledge in IT, builds a very good base in multiple areas of computer, and helps when selecting IT as a degree during further study.
- +2 Result awaiting students: provides enough foundation to easily cope with Bachelor degrees in computer science (BSc CSIT, BCA, BIT, BIM).
- All students new to the field of IT wanting a solid foundation before pursuing advanced courses.
